The method
There are three terms for the method:
Superlearning, Suggestopedia and Accelerated Learning.
The Bulgarian Dr. Georgi Lozanov developed suggestopedia in the 1960s. Since then, the method has been further developed and used with great success in various areas of teaching. It is particularly suitable for teaching foreign languages.
It taps into the brain's reserve capacities at both the intellectual and memory levels, resulting in improved pronunciation as well as the acquisition of vocabulary and grammatical structures.

Holistic teaching and the idea of positively influencing the learning experience result in a joy of learning and a playful approach to learning. The speed of learning is significantly increased and long-term memory is more strongly activated. Complex and abstract learning content can be taught in an effective, stress-free and motivating way.

In addition, and of equal importance in terms of learning, are the promotion of confidence in one's own learning abilities and the reduction of learning barriers (e.g. speech inhibitions). Holistic learning in an anxiety-free environment leads to a high level of motivation, which is ultimately the key to success.

Holistic teaching involves the use of…
-
positive suggestion,
-
relaxation techniques,
-
memory training,
-
and activities that appeal to all types of learners.

It is an effective approach that conveys the joy of learning.
